Unfair block and removal

On 17 November, I made multiple AWB-assisted edits to format file pages. None of my edits disrupted any page, yet –right after I went offline– 4 or 5 of them (out of hundreds) were contested by another user, who –in less than a couple hours– wrote both here and on my talk page about a bot not responding to talk page and –despite I answered both him and admin Yann in less than 10 hours– admin blocked me for 3 days and unilaterally removed my rights to Commons:AutoWikiBrowser/CheckPageJSON, and refused to provide any rule/guideline against my edits, which, as I said before, literally disrupted 0 pages (out of hundreds I edited that day). Unless said admin resurrects and finally provides a guideline I broke, I may deserve some apologies, and I'm here to request the full restoration of my user rights. Daniele Fisichella 14:05, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Was there community approval for the kind of text edits you made? If yes, a link please? RoyZuo (talk) 16:49, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My take, looking at one of these edits more or less at random: with reference to https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Handspindelpresse,_Zinkh%C3%BCtter_Hof_(2).jpg&diff=prev&oldid=958264099, changing another user's chosen way to be credited as author is certainly not good. That is their prerogative, not yours. The date format change is probably good; much of the rest of this is the sort of thing that fires off a notification and does nothing to improve the page. - Jmabel ! talk 17:42, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmabel: I did not change the way the user was credited, I just formatted it with {{U}} without changing the layout. Besides that and date, I just fixed the position of the categories. None of these is a valid reason for a 3 days block and removal of my user rights to AWB. Daniele Fisichella 14:43, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You were blocked because of edits like this. Removing 1= breaks the display in many cases, and is useless anyway. Yann (talk) 14:53, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann: No, because it did not break any page at all, since I only removed it from the pages which did not have equal signs inside the description, and you know 1= is only needed when descriptions include equal signs, as I had already argumented on my talk page, otherwise they're useless. Moreover, 99.99% of my edits of that day fixed categorization or formatted the templates in file pages. Cite any page I disrupted, if there's even a single one, otherwise I stand by what I wrote since the beginning of this thread. Daniele Fisichella 23:22, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but you have it wrong. 1= should be added everywhere, even when it is not needed now. It should never be removed, even if it is not needed now. Yann (talk) 07:48, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think you should be regranted AWB access as you don't seem to understand the problem with altering user's names on files.

Please move this category over a redirect because the name is not grammatical (there should be no "the" in the name). The new name could be either of these, both of which already exist:

Please update Module:Wikidata Infobox

Hello,

Module:Wikidata Infobox has to be replaced with the current version of its sandbox. At present, automatic categorization based on Wikidata is broken due to a change of the way Wikidata handles labels, to which the module on Commons has to adapt. Plenty of people are getting frustrated at Template talk:Wikidata Infobox#Fallback autocat names to mul language. Yours, GrandEscogriffe (talk) 12:53, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Flickr bot Malfunction

Dear Admins,

The Flickr bot has stopped working for 2 full days now since the first 2 hours of November 27, 2024. The flickr backlog is now 1600+ images. I noticed the problem when I uploaded an image on November 29, 2024 but nothing happened. I don't know who can fix the bot and I am not sure Achim55 can do this either. Best Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 03:19, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

3 days now. Can someone start the usurping process on wikitech, or is the owner still active on wikimedia? Pinging @Stemoc, as they have helped deal with this in the past. All the Best -- Chuck Talk 01:03, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging the maintainers: @Eatcha, Multichill, Stang, Steinsplitter, WhitePhosphorus, and Zhuyifei1999: AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 02:08, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Restarted, which seems to have helped. Maybe the maintainers could configure a health check – the one I added to QuickCategories (commit) has been relatively successful. Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 21:44, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please reopen the discussion at Commons:Categories for discussion/2024/11/Category:Abkuh Aliabad.
 ∞∞ Enhancing999 (talk) 08:00, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And what do you want to discuss about? I already explained everything. Stop wasting people's time. --Orijentolog (talk) 08:02, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that this doesn't need a discussion. I have deleted it as an empty category as it seems to have been created in confusion. en:Abkuh Aliabad is a village in the Kashmar County, so images about Kashmar County cannot not be categorised there (unless those are from Abkuh Aliabad village itself, which isn't the case here. As such,  No action needed from here. Regards, Aafi (talk) 08:31, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. POS78 intended to give it for deletion, not discussion. This is not his first time because he don't understand process very well, so I did it for him, and he thanked me for action. Regarding the place, it's not that we have any material for it, categories can be opened even if we don't know coords. But in this particular case, we don't know do we actually have any material from it, because sources about its location are contradicting. Therefore only solution is deletion. --Orijentolog (talk) 08:38, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly is the urgency to close this? Especially as we do have such images.
 ∞∞ Enhancing999 (talk) 09:04, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We don't have. --Orijentolog (talk) 10:12, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's something you can say in the discussion if you believe so.

Datasets about potential logos - November 2024 uploads

Hi all, we have released a new dataset of potential logos uploaded in November 2024, together with another one of those which have already been deleted as of 2024-12-02. We are sharing them with you for your consideration.

This is part of our current work with the logo detection tool. We hope it will be useful for your moderation activities.

If you encounter issues with the datasets or have comments/requests, please reach out to me or to Sannita (WMF).

Thanks for your attention! –-MFossati (WMF) (talk) 12:08, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
